Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Cape Town

Arrive at Cape Town. Pick up your car on self-drive basis. Proceed to the hotel and check in. At 4 PM proceed for a helicopter ride and then move to Two Oceans Aquarium. After that, head out for The Cape Wheel around 8 PM.

 

Day 2 – Cape Point Exploration

Cape Point, part of the Cape Floral Kingdom World Heritage Site, is a place of wild and sensational beauty, captivating views and diverse fauna. The Cape Point Explorer is a full-day excursion aboard a luxury coach. It features a drive through Muizenberg and Fish Hoek and a visit to Boulder Beach, which is famous for its colony of African Penguins. The tour continues to Cape Point with an optional hike to Cape of Good Hope Headland. You’ll pass through beautiful seaside villages of Kommetjie and Scarborough and the Ou Kaapse Weg mountain pass with glorious scenery, towards False Bay. Note: Please ensure that you arrive at the departure point at least 5 minutes before the departure time. You will be assisted by an English-speaking guide. Also, carry comfortable walking shoes and sunscreen, especially if you plan to do the optional hike to Cape of Good Hope Headland. An entry fees of 85 Rands to be paid directly for Penguin colony.

Day 3 – Franschhoek and Stellenbosch Winelands Tour

Enjoy a full-day excursion to the picturesque Cape Winelands, in a luxury air-conditioned coach. Explore the Franschhoek and Stellenbosch Winelands, stopping for an iconic breath-taking view of Table Mountain from Bloubergstrand. The day tour to the Cape Winelands which comprises of a cheese and wine tasting, a cellar tour in Franschhoek and a wine tasting at a Stellenbosch wine farm is highly recommended for the visitors. The Franschhoek and Stellenbosch Winelands Tour coach leaves Cape Town in the morning and takes a scenic drive to Bloubergstrand, stopping for an iconic photo opportunity at the ocean and Table Mountain. After visiting Bloubergstrand, you will be treated to a cheese and wine tasting and cellar tour at a Franschhoek wine farm. The next stop is Franschhoek, where guests will have about two hours to explore the town, enjoy lunch or indulge in an extra wine tasting. Then we will take a scenic drive over the awe-inspiring Helshoogte Pass to the charming town of Stellenbosch where guests can explore the iconic duck parade (if time permits). Afterwards, you will go to a Stellenbosch wine farm for a final wine tasting before heading back to Cape Town. Note: This is a guided tour and you will be assisted by an English-speaking guide. Please ensure that you bring your ID in order to be able to enjoy wine.

 

Day 4 – Sightseeing in Cape Town

City Sightseeing open-top double-decker buses take you to Cape Town’s must-see attractions. A single ticket gives you access to all stops, with the power to hop-on or hop-off at your own pace. You may choose to spend complete day at a site, or explore the whole tour offering, as each ticket gives you access to marked pick-up and drop-off points where buses come around regularly. Ride on the top deck to capture the picture-perfect scenery or relax on the bottom deck when the weather is tricky. Along the way, enjoy the complimentary audio guide that is available in 15 different languages and packed with useful information. Enjoy a trip to Table Mountain on an aerial cable car. Note: Cable car tickets are included.

 

Day 5 – Le Bonheur Crocodile Farm to Sunset Champagne Cruise

Le Bonheur Crocodile farm, home of the African Nile Crocodiles that have been bred in captivity, offers daily guided crocodile pond tours. Visitors can view crocodiles of various ages and can touch a juvenile before getting an up-close view of the fascinating reptiles underwater via a subsurface viewing cabin. The farm’s growing snake collection is introduced during two Snake Shows (12:00 and 15:00) held on Saturdays, Sundays and on public holidays. The centrally located Le Bonheur Crocodile farm in the Cape winelands, is a registered breeder of the African Nile Crocodile. The farm provides visitors, with an emphasis on family and groups, the opportunity to see and interact with the once hunted (almost to the point of extinction) crocodile species. During the Sunset Champagne Cruise, guests will be offered a complimentary glass of South African bubbly. Passengers will enjoy a cruise into the ocean that gives perfect views of the iconic Cape coastline. It is a relaxed and family-friendly cruise, where the highlight is the natural and nautical experience. There is also an on-board cash bar that can provide an array of additional beverages and refreshments. Ripley’s Believe It or Not, an international sensation is a new addition to the Cape Town entertainment line-up at the VA Waterfront. Experience the hall of oddities that has earned Ripley’s Believe It or Not worldwide fame. Note: Please keep in mind that the sunset timing changes slightly during different seasons. Please check the Water Front Charters website for the exact timings. Please make sure that you bring your ID in order to receive your glass of bubbly if you are over 18. Also, carry weather appropriate clothing and a camera to capture the beautiful views.

 

Day 6 – Ostrich Farm to Cango Ranch

Ostrich Farm: On this guided tour, you will learn and see all aspects of Ostrich farming and Ostriches. A professional guide will show you all stages from incubation to adulthood. Witness the miracle of chick’s hatch in the Incubator Room. Afterwards, feed and meet the Ostriches up close in one of the breeding camps. Continue on tractor tour to see and learn more about the Kenyan Red, Zimbabwe Blue as well as the local South African Ostriches. Cango Ranch: Cango Wildlife Ranch is a memorable stop-over and an entertainment hotspot on the famous Garden Route and Route 62 in the Western Cape. Visitors can enjoy a number of animal encounters, from Cheetahs and reptiles, to Caracal, Serval, and 3 unique species of Lemur. The Natural Encounters programme allows the adrenaline junkies to enjoy cage diving with Crocodiles, wrapping themselves with a Python, and befriending a Snake, Tiger, or Nile Crocodile while here.

Day 7 – Shark Cage Diving

Take the plunge and go Shark Cage Diving in Mossel Bay. Simply sink beneath the surface using a simple breath hold technique and you can come face to face with one of the most feared predators in the ocean. It’s an experience not to be missed. For those who are apprehensive about doing the cage dive, worry not! Witnessing the Great White Sharks from the top viewing deck of the boat, propelling themselves, sometimes clean out of the water in pursuit of the bait can be just as spectacular! Note: No diving qualification is needed to go Shark Diving in Mossel Bay.

Day 8 – Departure from South Africa

Fly Back to India. Take a flight from GRJ to JNB and then to BOM. Happy endings
