Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 – Exploring Dambulla (Dambulla – Historical Mounuments)

This day marks the beginning of your remarkable seven-day vacation is the alluring Sri Lanka. Upon your arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, our representative will be available to take care of any immediate needs and ensure your smooth transfer to the hotel.

En route stop by the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and make beautiful memories while you feed the gentle giants. Next, head to the Dambulla Caves and be mesmerized by their sheer magnificence. These caves are dated back to the 5th century and are adorned with interiors depicting Buddha’s life. Watch out for the paintings showcasing the tales of Buddha’s first sermon and the story of the temptation of Buddha by the demon Mara.

Thereafter check into your hotel and proceed for a delicious dinner. Overnight stay at Dambulla.

Day 2 – Kandy Sightseeing (Kandy – Hill Capital)

Awake to a pleasant morning and spoil yourself to a scrumptious breakfast at your hotel. Proceed for your visit to Kandy. On arrival, check out and head to Kitugala where you can enjoy a session of rafting.

Later take a guided city tour and visit the famed Temple of the Tooth Relic that houses the tooth relic of Lord Buddha, thus making it a site of historical and divine importance to the Buddhists. Later explore the Royal Palace Complex of the kingdom of Kandy and enjoy your time taking a boat ride at the lake and be mesmerized by the stunning view of the Perahera.

Note: Guests are more than welcome to join the ‘Open Door Ceremony’ at the temple during the early hours of the morning.
The day comes to an end with a flavorsome dinner at a local restaurant, after which you will retire to your hotel to catch up on some sleep.

Day 3 – Dreamy Nuwara Eliya (Nuwaraeliya – Little England)

Commence the day with a nutritious breakfast at your hotel before you begin your onward journey to Sri Lanka’s ‘Little England’ – Nuwara Eliya. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up to begin the day’s activities.

Clean and splendid climate, incredible views of the valleys, mountains, and meadows and lots of greenery is what attracts tourist to this destination. Begin sightseeing with a visit to the Hakgala Botanical Garden, which is famed for its abundant plantation of varied roses and orchids. Take a walk around the garden, and you will be captivated by its gracefulness; while you are there, don’t forget to stop by the tiny ponds and admire the water lilies and lotus.

Later in the day, you can plan a short visit to one of the many tea factories in the region and understand the production process before you enjoy a steaming cup of some of the world’s finest Orange Pekoe tea.

End the day with a wholesome dinner at a local restaurant before you retire for the night. Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

Day 4 – Sites from the Ramayana (Nuwaraeliya – Little England)

Kick start the day with a filling breakfast at your hotel and get ready for the day’s activities. For (Optional Tour) Start the touring around with a visit to the renowned Divurumpola, the site where Sita offered herself to the fire proving her chastity to Lord Ram. Take a stroll around the temple and be captivated by the pillars and statues, and paintings and wall art, depicting the legend of Lord Ram and Sita.

Next, head to the Ravana Caves that are nothing short of proof of the learned king’s architectural intelligence. The cave tunnels are designed to connect to all of the important cities of the country and were once served as a quick means of transport through the hills.

The long and tiring day comes to an end with a scrumptious dinner at a local restaurant, before you head to the hotel. Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

Day 5 – Bentota in all its Magnificence (Bentota – Golden Sandy Beaches)

Refuel your energies with a hearty breakfast at your hotel before you head out for your next destination – Bentota, the land of golden sandy beaches. On your arrival, check into your hotel and get ready for the exciting day ahead.
Begin with a visit to the renowned Kande Vihare Temple that is known to house the largest and tallest statue of Lord Buddha in all of Sri Lanka. Continue the temple visit at Kalyanarama Maha Viharaya, which is extremely popular among tourist for the ancient marble effigy of Buddha that is houses.

Next, head towards the day’s adventure at the Madu River. On your arrival at the location, you will enjoy a mesmerizing River Boat Cruise that takes you along the river, passing through dense mangroves. While on this cruise, you will easily spot monitor lizards and cormorants and kingfishers and egrets only unique to the region here.
The later part of the day is saved for a visit to the Bentota Turtle Hatchery. Walk around the place and learn about turtles and their conservation with the help of well-informed staff and set free baby hatchlings fit to be released – all while you enjoy the sunset at the beach.
End the day with a palatable dinner at a local restaurant and retire to your hotel. Overnight stay at Bentota.

Day 6 – Exploring Colombo (Colombo – vibrant city)

Rise to a wonderful morning in Bentota and indulge in a tasteful breakfast at your hotel before you head out to Colombo – the capital of Sri Lanka. On your arrival, check into the hotel and freshen up for the day’s sightseeing.

Commence your city tour with a stopover at the Galle Face Green, a magnificent urban park, facing the ocean, right in the middle of the city’s financial district. Later, stop by the National Museum and learn about the culture and history of the beautiful country you have been exploring. The tour will also take you around the Old Parliament Building, the Independence Square, and the Twin World Trade Center towers among many other places.

Save the evening for a shopping spree and shop your heart out at Beverly Street and House of Fashion. Stop by the Noritake and Odel and collect gifts and souvenirs for friends and family.
The long day comes to an end with a lavish local dinner, after which you can head to your hotel and spend the night in the comfort of your hotel room. Overnight stay at Colombo.

Day 7 – Home Calling (Departures)

This day marks the end of your extraordinary vacation in the land of Sri Lanka. Enjoy a pleasant breakfast at your hotel and head to the airport for your flight back home.
