Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1 – Bonjour, Johannesburg
Get ready to begin this grand 10-day tour of South Africa that will give you a comprehensive look at the country’s culture, politics, history and of course, its much-famed wildlife.Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, you will be met by our representative, who will ensure a smooth transfer to your lodge. Enjoy a scrumptious lunch meal at this place before we begin our adventurous sojourn.The afternoon promises to be a fun affair as we have a game drive planned for you! Luck being on your side, stand in awe at the sight of Africa’s Big Five: lions, buffaloes, rhinos, elephants and leopards.A hearty dinner awaits once you return to the lodge as does a comfortable bed for you to doze the night away.
Day 2 – The Return to the Forest (Game Drive)
Wake up to the sound of chirping birds and smell of freshly prepared tea, coffee to energize you for an early morning tryst with the wild.
Thereafter, get your cameras as we head to the jungle once again as part of another game drive to see the animals you might have missed yesterday. And if you’re very lucky, like most people who visit, your eyes will be treated to a second encounter with the animals from yesterday.Savour breakfast upon heading back to the lodge, and then relax in your room till lunch. The evening again is reserved for the jungle. Believe, no number of visits to this place are ever enough!Post the second game safari of today, return to the lodge to enjoy a delectable dinner and then get some sleep.
Day 3 – From a Natural Jungle to that of Concrete
Refuel your energy with some early morning snacks as today marks the final round of wildlife spotting at the jungle. Return to the forest one last time in the company of armed rangers.
Retreat to the lodge for a delectable breakfast, and then check-out before heading to Johannesburg – South Africa’s liveliest metropolis. Museums, amusement parks, cultural centers, breweries, soaring buildings and buzzing markets, it has everything to capture your senses.On reaching the city, get a private transfer to the hotel. The drive will take you past many landmarks like the Carlton Centre skyscraper, Downtown Johannesburg, South African Supreme Court and headquarters of Angelo American. Follow this up with a guided tour of Constitution Hill, home to the country’s highest constitutional matters court as well as a prison, where inmates were segregated on the basis of their color and race.After reaching the hotel, check-in and spend the day, recovering from today’s tiredness.In the evening, relish a tasty Indian dinner at a restaurant, and then enjoy a quiet overnight stay.
Day 4 – Off to Cape Town (City Tour of Cape Town)
Gather energy for the ensuing day with a palatable breakfast before heading to the airport by private transfer for your flight to Cape Town.Behold the sun-baked shores of Cape Town, within which rests a free-spirited city, dominated by sky-touching structures, with none so capturing as the vertically rising Table Mountains.On reaching it, head to the top of Table Mountain for panoramic views of the city and sea. Later, drive past Malay Quarter, Castle of Good Hope, Company Gardens and the Houses of Parliament. Also, see far and wide into the horizon and breathe the crisp sea breeze in Sea Point and Camps Bay before visiting Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.Transfer to the hotel and spend the day at leisure before heading out for a hearty Indian dinner at a local restaurant. Follow this up with a good night’s sleep back at the hotel
Day 5 – Rolling along the Ocean (Cape Peninsula Tour | Cruise to Duiker Island)
The day, which starts with breakfast, brings to you enchanting oceanic sceneries, each better than any you must have witnessed.Your adventure begins with a leisurely drive along Cape Peninsula towards Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. The drive will take you along the golden coast and rocky cliffs. On the way, stop in Hout Bay for a boat cruise to Duiker Island, where you may be able to see fur seals. The tour further takes you on the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope. On reaching Cape Point, ride the funicular to arrive at a high point for panoramic views of the ocean.Prepare for some fun as you will now visit Boulders Beach to see penguins. Further, the journey takes you through the South African naval base of Simon’s Town.On returning to the hotel, relax, and then have a scrumptious Indian dinner at a restaurant, followed by an overnight stay at the hotel
Day 6 – Family Fun in Knysna (Ferry Trip to Knysna Heads)
Relish a tasty breakfast at your hotel before we take you to to the hotel in Knysna by private transfer. After check-in, rest for a while, and then head out for a trip to The Heads on a ferry, which is also a floating restaurant.
The Heads is the name, given to two cliffs, between which a river snakes its way through before meeting the ocean. Have loads of fun with your friends and family on Knysna Lagoon.
Today’s a treat as we take you for dinner at an Indian restaurant before retiring for the night at the hotel.
Day 7 – Wonders of Nature (Oudtshoorn Tour)
Let a fulfilling breakfast renew your vigor before we move to Oudtshoorn.
Here, go on a tour of Cango Caves- home to strange, but intriguing stalactite and stalagmite formations. Further, see a huge colony of ostriches that are known to produce some of the finest feathers on earth at Safari Ostrich Ranch. The day then takes you to Cango Wildlife Ranch to see lions, tigers, cheetahs, lemurs and leopards along with crocodiles.
Thereafter, return to the hotel to rest, and then top off this adventure with a delectable Indian dinner at a restaurant before calling it a night.
Day 8 – Rejoice, Romancers (Boschendal Estate Chocolate and Wine Tour)
If you are coming on this trip with your partner, then this is the day to rejoice as it will treat you to chocolates and wines- a perfect recipe for romance, isn’t it?
After a nourishing breakfast at the hotel, reach Cape Town by private transfer. Once here, visit Boschendal Estate, a pioneer wine producer in the country. At the site, relish a variety of chocolates and taste some of the finest South African wines.
Later, transfer to the hotel to get some much-needed rest before proceeding to an Indian restaurant for dinner. Your hunger satisfied, it is now time to sleep the night away.
Day 9 – Aah…Leisure (Leisure Day in Cape Town)
There is no hurry today as, after breakfast, you have the entire day at leisure. Rest at the hotel or explore the city at your own pace, visiting the places of your choice.
A hearty dinner at the hotel, followed by an overnight stay, marks the end of this day.
Day 10 – Home Sweet Home (Departure from Cape Town)
Devour the last breakfast of your tour, and then move to Cape Town International Airport by private transfer for a flight back home.
